Marina Nazarova

Marina Nazarova holds a BFA in Painting from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver BC. As part of the exchange program she studied at L’Ecole des beaux arts in Paris where she developed a true passion for the figurative art.

The majority of Nazarova’s work revolves around people and abstract spaces, as she investigates themes of personal identity and duality. In her ongoing series of “Quiet” portraits she tends to explore ideas of temporality and shifting perception.

She draws her inspirations from everyday life, found imagery and memories. In her figurative paintings she mainly uses oil and acrylic on canvas and wood panels. Nazarova has exhibited in Canada, US and Europe.
